The Olive Tree is a truly; a local hidden treasure. Owned and operated by Sophia Daskalakis. Who was born in the United States, but was raised on Karpathos, Greece. A islands in the Greek Dodecanese; that holds deep roots in its tradition and culture. When Sophia returned to the Williamsport, she decided to use her knowledge of authentic Greek and Karpathian cooking to open her own restaurant. That would share a culinary experience that you couldn't previously find anywhere but the Aegean.
As the restaurant's success and popularity grew, she was able to branch her menu into other mediterranean cultures. Bringing even more varieties in cuisine and vegetarian dishes. The Olive Tree has received many awards locally, as well as the regional culture magazine, recognizing it as one best restaurant in its area.
